grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is Master of Design Studies candidate at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and instructor at Boston architectural College. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan where he was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Medal in 2010.
After completing his undergraduate architectural degree at Washington University in St. Louis in 2005, Dan spent three years working as an architectural lighting designer in Cambridge, MA. Concurrently he taught at the Boston Architectural College, where Dan and Kyle taught their first architecture studio. He was then funded to develop new lighting coursework published as a feature in Architectural Lighting Magazine (Dec '08).
Dan is committed to research and architectures with the 99%, engaging intersections between architecture and building technology, infrastructure, landscape and urbanism.
Hails from Virginia. He holds a Master of Architecture with high distinction from University of Michigan, where he was awarded Thesis Prize, the Alpha Roh Chi Medal, and the AIA Henry Adams Certificate in 2011.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honors at the University of Virginia in 2005, Kyle worked for four years for Office Da, Kennedy & Violich, and Moshe Safdie and Associates. During this period, Kyle also began to teach graduate design studios at the Boston Architecture College and eventually founded/co-directed the Urban designBUILD program.
Kyle holds a certificate in Design Education from the BAC and anrestricted contractor's license in the Commonwealth of Massachussetts. He is currently taking architectural exams for licensure.
